New Goodies for the Alabama Picnic Can't Post

I've asked my Southern Living coworkers to donate items for door prizes and the raffle, and so far I have four boxes of fabulous stuff!

One of our executive editors and (in-house wine expert) donated three bottles of fine wine for the raffle. I've also got LOTS gourmet goodies from the Southern Living Test Kitchens, three bottles of Knock-You-Naked Margarita Mix, organic teas, a knife set, cookbooks, a gift basket of fine soaps and scrubs from a spa, pottery from Southern artisans, and hand-poured candles.

Cruiser Quarterly has donated a gift subscription.

We will also be raffling a portable gas grill and a car stereo. (All of our proceeds will benefit the Alabama Wildlife Rescue Center at Oak Mountain, where the picnic will be held.)

More to come! Smile

You gotta love a company that says both "So if you want to get knocked naked or if you want to knock someone else naked, order now," and "It has proven to be quite a hit and has been written up in Southern Living" in the same breath.

Re: [AUCRZR] New Goodies for the Alabama Picnic Can't Post

I've been looking forward to "bonin' up" for the Honorary Southerner Award, but after waitin' 3 weeks for the books I ordered, I E-mailed them to inquire about their absence at my door. They replied (very apologeticly) that they have been to busy to send them to me, but would get them out shortly. Thought that was very nice of themRoll eyes. I seem to remember drinking RC Cola up here when I was a kid. Double Cola, Birely's Orange and Chocolate Pop and Dad's Root Beer used to be real popular - all long gone. Lookin' forward to MILO'S. If I take some home, how long will it keep? I won't be touchin' the Margarita Mix either, but my wife, that's another story, but it's gotta be loaded with salt. Think she used to lick the salt blocks on the farm. Slipfit
18th - Books showed up - gotta start areadin'

Gary, I am so proud of you! I expect you to be fully fluent in Southern by the time y'all get down here. Wink Oh, and the Milo's tea will need to be kept cool, so tote it home in an ice chest. It has an expiration date on each jug; usually keeps 3-4 weeks. (But I wouldn't know—I finish them off way before the expiration date!)

This just in: New Sponsor—GG Bailey Custom Car & Trunk Mats

Each goody bag will include a gift certificate for free ground shipping from GG Bailey. They have some gorgeous stuff!

This just in from PT Boutique: (remember, they will be AT THE PICNIC! Pre-order to ensure they'll have what you want.

They are donating half the profits from Blue 2 Special Edition Collector Coloring Book to the Alabama Wildlife Rescue Center and the other half to the American Cancer Society. Cool

They will also have a surprise at checkout!

Everyone is a winner: You will draw for an additional discount or a free gift.

They will also be providing some PT items for raffle. Money will benefit the Alabama Wildlife Rescue Center.

ROFL I know...I was referring to the scene where he sweeps her off her feet and carries her up the stairs, not the dramatic ending.
