Hi there Cruisers!
Just wanted to give you an update on the November 17/18th Cruise In. For those of you coming in on the 17th to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We will be going over to the Western Steer that evening at 5:30 for a Buffet Dinner. The price will be $8.65 which includes a buffet of 5 meats, fresh vegatables and drink. The 18th we will caravan over to George L. Smith State Park in the morning, leaving at 9:00 am. Registration starts at 9:30 am. Parking fee for the park is $2.00. Registration for each car will be $10.00. We will be having a BBQ lunch which will consist of BBQ Pork, BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, Brunswick Stew, Bread and Tea. There will be raffle drawings and prizes and trophies given out. There are still openings at the Holiday Inn Express, so give them a call at 912-685-3000 to reserve your room. The cost for the rooms are $60 for Saturday Night. The rooms are One King Bed or Two Queen Beds. Ask for the PT Cruiser Club Rate. Look forward to seeing everyone for a GREAT Time!!! Here's directions to George L. Smith State Park from I-16 Exit #104, Coming from the West on I-16, Take Exit # 104 Turn Left, go 1.4 miles to the Traffic Light, then turn Left, go to the second Traffic Light turn Right on to Hwy 23, go 11.1 miles turn right on to George L. Smith Rd, Go 1.8 miles to the entrance. The office is on the left. $2.00 per car for parking. Turn left at the office to the picnic area, Take the first paved entrance on the right, There will be a Ball Field on the left, we will be parking around the perimeter of the field.
