PCV Make-Up Air Filter

I've completed the recommended 30,000 mile service with the exception of the PCV Make-Up Air Filter. Does anybody know where I can buy one these little pieces of foam? None of my local auto parts stores have them or even know what they are. Will I have to go to the dealer? I've seen the posts about bypassing the filter, but at this time I'd like to keep my car the same way it came from the factory. Most Auto parts places call it a "PCV filter", as far as I know only Chrysler calls it a "Make-Up Air Filter", that might help. ---------- '05 GT Dream Cruiser Series 4. No.1109 My Mods PT Trailer Project Our PTs

It just so happens that I needed a haircut today, and the Chrysler dealer is only about a mile away from my barber, so I stopped in the Parts Department to check on the price of a PCV Make-Up Air Filter. It turns out it's only $2.95, so I grabbed two. I certainly wasn't expecting to get something from the dealer for less than 3 bucks. If you'd rather buy one than spend the time to clean the existing one the part number is 5066076AA.... ---------- Monty in Tampa Some of the coolest toys I've owned.... 2003 PT Cruiser GT 1991 Nissan Sentra SER 1971 Ford Torino 500 1967 Pontiac Lemans

Cool. I guess that I need a new parts guy then.

Advanced Auto Parts carries the foam filters of various sizes. I don't recall the part number of the one I purchased but all you have to do is either measure the one you have or take yours to the store and compare it to the stock items. If the only one you can find is a little bigger, you can cut it to size. I am sure it is cheaper then the OEM part would be even if the Chrysler part was available and it works fine. ----------
