Without changing the lower grille portion, the RR hood looks, well, out of sync with the rest of the front end. The hood is different and many may like it, but...

Re: [woud8835] PT Cruiser Rolls-Royce Hood in Design Stage Can't Post

Anyone else remember the comment made by a Rolls spokesman when asked to comment on these things when they came out on VWs in the 70s? Something like putting "the robes of a giant on a wizened dwarf". Don't look any better on a PT (maybe even worse)...but I'll bet he sells a couple of 'em.

I hope I never have to witness that atrocity on the road. Just seeing pictures of it was enough to make me retch.

Re: [woud8835] PT Cruiser Rolls-Royce Hood in Design Stage Can't Post

Cheersmy my it is DIFFERENT Ill give um that. However, really think that it is a bit of overkill, the grille takes up so much space the rest of the car appears lost at the momment. Wonder why anyone would want a RR grille on a PT in the first place? Seems they are at the opposite end of the spectrum from each other. How about a PT Grille on a RR ? Now THAT would get some attention! Have a great day!

Re: [woud8835] PT Cruiser Rolls-Royce Hood in Design Stage Can't Post

Forget the Rolls look. Now stand back and look at the PT. I think it has much more of a look of a 40's Mercedes. I even think that if D-C had chosen to, they could have marketed the PT as a Mercedes. How about running with that? Hood could probabbly stay much the same except of course a Mecedes hood ornament. Change grille, wire wheels, running boards, wood accents interior. But PLEASE, not the Rolls look.

Theresa,

We will continue to pray for him....LOL

The RR hood on the PT sucks!!! Besides that, PT cruiser owner's aren't no WANNABEES!!! If you want a RR...go buy one! PT Cruiser owners buy PTs cause they are the kewlest car on the road!!! THEN, we take the money we saved on the car and go on CRUISES with it!! RR owners don't have time to cruise cause they are working to pay for their ride! LOL
