NICE SCALE DAVE, Wish it would balance in our favor. I forgot all about this blog. I have written so many! I went and looked on page four and we have completely shut down the ones that made bad comments. Everyone needs to go read the good things. PAGE 4. This is exciting. I do not even know who a couple of them are. They say really intelligent things. This is a good thing, wish there were more, but hey it is positive. I am amazed that on all my blogs and posts, so many non PT drivers love our car and want it to stay. What do you think of that? We are not alone with our cars, others care about us too. Yes Dave it might. I am not in a good mood today as I do not care for what happened on the one thread and you know what I mean. Do people love our car enough to fight back when criticizied? Does not look like it to me. I guess we are to courteous and welcome anyone. Maybe I need a lesson in manners. When someone attacks something I love, I get mad. I do not agree with them when they are invading my territory. I do not want the shape of the car I love to be changed. I will just keep mine and let others decide what is good and what needs to be changed! Sorry if I offend people but it is my opinion and I think I am entitled to have one. I agree with Mickey...everyone's entitled to their own opinion and while I do belive in using manners, I don't believe in going onto the HHR websites and criticizing it, saying that there is only so much that can be done with its shape, et cetera. If you like the HHR, fine, but this isn't a fight to save the HHR. ----------

Mickey, No matter what the discussion, I generally never feel the "attacker" in a discussion has a valid point. They generally attack to attack. They want to appear smart and powerful. Quite often others on that blog or forum will simply ignore the rant, but it does not mean they agree with the attacker. In fact, it may make them side with the attacked. The PT is a strong car. I was in Colorado Springs last weekend and saw them all over the airport and around town. The rental car companies had quite a few and they were all spoken for. I see more and more around my home, more and more 2006 and 2007. This could just be a ploy by Chrysler to get sales up. Probably not, but it does show that the PT Cruiser is a very popular car and Chrysler has to look at those numbers when they decide. Lots of people sign petitions, but these are not only signing a petition, but they are buying the car! Terry ---------- Living Happily Ever After, Now and Then in Millbrook, AL.

Hi Terry, thanks for understanding me. I have worked darn hard on this Save the PT movement. Always glad to do more. I am done, Terry. Whatever happens happens. I can't change it anyway. I was foolish enoUgh to think that certain people cared as much as I do. I love my car and will always love it, just the way it is. I can do the upkeep and always have it with me. I won't change the shape as I love it's distinctive look. I would never go to another car forum and say that their cars were uncomfortable and that they should change the look of them to sell more cars. I have always drove junkers. My headliner would hang in my eyes. My cars were dirty because when I bought them they were used up, nothing to wax as no finish left. I drove that last car with no heat and no airconditioning. When my dad died, I got some money and bought my dream car! I have never had a finer ride in my life. Yes I am offended and I tried to go with the flow but enough is enough for me. I will not respond to any more of that discussion. To say Save the PT Cruiser and they point out the good features of another car is appauling to me. I am sorry for my attitude. I am not a good old boy that can say one thing and mean another. Thanks again Terry. ---------- 2005 ELECTRIC BLUE CLASSIC Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. Mickey, I sometimes wear a tie to work. Usually, when a big VIP is coming, but often when there are problems caused by those who just want to cause problems. I found this tie and bought it immediately. I've worn it to work, court, weddings, and other places where there was a reason to remind myself that some people just like to get a reaction. It says, "Non Illegitimi Carborundum." Loosely translated, it means, "don't let the b*stards grind you down!" When one of those "B's" ask what my tie says, I happily tell them what is says and the translation. They walk away and are not quite so ready to attack any more. When people attack, they want you to fight. When you just keep going on calm and polite, it throws them off and they look like the fools they are. You have a good heart. Don't let others change it. Thanks Terry, You know many times on this forum you have rescued me. We have had a great time together with our joking around. You always seem to bring out the best in me. I appreciate you so much. I need to borrow your tie! My problem is that I go overboard on everything. What do I get for my trouble? Disappointments. I believe if you have a cause, then honor that cause. I will not lower myself to fight any more in something I believe so strongly in. I fight for a living but I do not have to do it when I am off. I love a cause. I have gone to jail for what I believe in. I was glad to do it. We staged a rally at work against the courts because of the omission of necessary words in an abuse case. We stood our ground, when asked to leave. We were detained. I will follow your advise and remain calm. I doubt if I will ever change, Terry. Been this way for too many years. We're up to almost 1900 signatures now... We seem to have stalled - so if anyone hasn't let their local club know or has friends that would support the petition - be sure to let them know. I'd like to get 2000 as fast as we can and get that to Chrysler (if only to show the support). __________________ Scott Kissinger ---------- http://community.webshots.com/user/davidrs100

Hey PT Dave, Your reply here caught my attention. After having my Chey mini van totaled about a year ago. I took a long hard look at the HHR. My 93 Lumina van had given me good service, but I was ready for something a little smaller with a tad more style. The HHR looked liked a good choice since it was "PT Cruiser like" in style and appeared to be a little larger. I'm a industrial photographer by trade and have the need for a vehicle that can carry all of my equipment. I rented an HHR for a job and found that I could get almost everything I needed into the car. However, my wife and I have always liked PT Cruisers, so I decided to drive one even though I thought it would be too small for my needs. Well, once I drove the PT I was hooked. It just seemed more fun to drive for some reason. I took it home for the "load test". Much to my surprise, I could get everything into the PT I could get into the HHR.......and if I take the rear seats out (you can't do that in an HHR) you can actually get more into the PT......and still see out the back window.......not the HHR. The HHR is seven and one half inches longer than the PT......but not where it matters. I think the PT is truly the "real deal" as far as looks go. To me, the HHR looks like the designer could not make up his mind on how he wanted the vehicle to look. It seems to be a "retro" vehicle to the rear of the front door, and then it looks like many current "SUVs" from there to the back of the vehicle. There was one advantage to the HHR as business vehicle. That larger window behind the rear doors is a great place for a company logo. However, all things considered, the PT was an easy choice. Chrysler better think twice about dropping this design. I think it is one of the best American designs to ever role of the assembly line. Especially now, with the gas situation. This car has quality, economy, utility and it does it all with style. It's a true winner........why else would GM be trying to play catch-up? I'll sign the petition. I know, I see a lot of new ones on the road around here in Southern Cal. But when I talk to my friend who is the fleet manager at the dealership where I bought mine he tells me his sales have dropped quite a bit from where they were a year ago. It will be interesting to see how the story plays out for the Cruiser. It all comes down to the bottom line! That's what people are in business for, if not they will not be around. Charlie ----------

Hi Clive, Dave, all of us, I had forgotten about the auto blog, the one where everyone called us and our cars such "nice" names. When I checked, seems like they bad boys have all left the building. I also notice that Slipfit and my posts are hightly rated, the rest neutral. So I want to thank each of you who went in and voted for Slipfit and me. Looks like we did make a differnece at least on that blog, thank you, Mickey ---------- 2005 ELECTRIC BLUE CLASSIC Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. I just wanted to let you know the way I am trying to help get more signatures on the petition. I have written www.savethePT.com on the back of the PT Referal cards I have been handing out and I am attending at PT Cruiser show tomm afternoon and when I park my PT I am placing a silver sunshade in the front window that has www.savethePT.com written in big black letters on it for all the people attending the show to see!! Just my way of trying to save the car that I love!

Hi everybody, I finally had enough time to sign the petition. Here is what I wrote on the comment area: To whom it may concern, I would like to thank you for making the PT Cruiser in the first place. I currently own a 2002 steel blue classic and have enjoyed every minute of it the last 4 years. I have added various aftermarket parts to it because the PT Cruiser looks good either as is or with other additions. My PT is special to me because I am only 19 and I have had my PT since the 10th grade. My parents got it for me and since then I have joined various PT Cruiser Clubs and been to various PT gatherings. I do not think any other vehicle can be as much fun as a PT Cruiser, especially at car shows and meet and greets. I believe that it is a great car for the younger people too as well as for the other age groups. It is just the right size and is efficient enough to meet my needs. I was hoping that the PT Cruiser would live-on because after the experiences I have had with mine, I would definitely buy another one in the future. I have such great pride in my PT Cruiser that I submitted an article to Cruiser Quarterly which was published in Volume 7 Issue 1 titled "The Graduate". I ask you to consider making the PT Cruiser in similarly the same style that it is now because the styling is what made the PT Cruiser so great that other companies started to copy. ----------

Way to go author extraordinaire, really well said. You have taken such a special interest in your car and it shows,. It is very classy. You scored very well in the Cyber Car show for having it been your first time. So glad you said what you did about keeping the style. That is my main focus now. I do not want it changed to look nothing like our car. I am curious if it does look like that ice chest special in 2010, what are we going to do about it? Thanks for doing your part. Howdy, Signed the petition and told CHrysler what we have benn telling them for years, bring out the panel cruiser! My wife and I both have PTs and drive them everyday. Lots of folks still stop us at malls and such and ask to see inside of them. They are still an real collectable and yet great for traveling on the open road. Last year we drove 11,000 miles in 52 days for a "Lap of America" and had a ball meeting PT owners all around the USA take care and lets hope we succeed justbob ----------
