added to the front page of PT Cruiser Club 08/21/2007 - Save The PT Cruiser With rumors swirling that Chrysler does not plan to redesign the PT Cruiser and that the 2009 model year will be the PT's last...the time has come to act. Scott Kissinger from PTenthusiasts.org has made SaveThePT.com and is asking for our cooperation. Please take the time to visit http://SaveThePT.com and sign the online petition to tell Chrysler how we feel and that the PT Cruiser deserves better than to just ride off into the sunset. Scott says "If enough of us act, we can make sure that there are PT Cruisers for years to come." ---------- Mike Challis - PT Cruiser Club Founder PT Cruiser Club is built around a community of people with the same interest (the Chrysler PT Cruiser), nowhere else will you find so much PT Cruiser information and as many enthusiasts.

HI DAVE, You know how important this is to me, I have blogged so many times to Chrysler, they probably have me blocked, lol. Signed the petition and wrote a book. Blogged to Scott. I tell them all what all you gals and guys want. To me it is important to keep the PTC in production as I know what a difference it has made in my life. The car gives you such pride in ownership. I love my car so much and I wish everyone would experience what we all do that are fortunate enough to own one. Dave, that is our PT's sister, must of had different fathers. The Caliber SRT4 is not bad if it comes with that hood scoop and like those- what are they- fog lights below? I would have to see it and sit in it. I like hatch backs though, does it have one? Never did like a four door till I got Pete. Well if we lose the fight, I will always have to stay on top of maintenance and just repair the things that wear out. This will be my last car. Quote: As of 3:50pm Mountain time Saturday , we are now up to 1002 signatures. send a link to the site to all your PT loving friends...we need to get as many signatures as possible for this to work. looks like GM wants a PT war. So with the Blogs, Petition, and with GM's help we are getting our message through, here is what happened at the Woodward Cruz on August the 16th Quote: Lutz took a shot at Bob Nardelli, the CEO of The New Chrysler. As we’ve said, Bob Nardelli will bring a fresh set of eyes to the company. But Lutz dismissed his hiring as a bias against Detroit auto executives who are “under-educated Midwestern idiots.” Then on Thursday, while at the Woodward Dream Cruise introducing the 2008 Chevrolet HHR SS, Lutz took a swipe at the newest special edition Chrysler PT - the 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser Sunset Boulevard Edition.Cruiser. He called the HHR SS “the real deal” and “not some special edition”. Hmmm….he seems to forget that the ‘real deal’ HHR is described by pundits as a copy of the PT Cruiser. Not to mention that GM recruited the designer of the PT Cruiser to style the HHR. Or that Chrysler has been showing special editions at the Woodward Dream Cruise for years, long before GM. I say give the GT back and lets kick some GM butt.

I signed the petition. Lutz shouldn't count his chickens too soon. We'll see how successful the HHR SS turns out to be. Maybe it'll be a winner. We already know the PT Cruiser has been a popular success. Chevy jumped into the game a bit late with the HHR. The bridesmaid is getting her 15 minutes of fame... ----------

Dave, if you go to page 4, after reading all the negativity, you can see me fighting back and by the time everyone reads this I am sure some choice words will be thrown my way. Please go on this site and defend our car. Here we go again, with yet another defense of our PT! I would appreciate some back-up. I am afraid I am going to be creamed. lol Well let um, I have pretty tough skin. It would be interesting if those who posted on that blog had to post a picture of their own car as it is the day the post (dirt and all). I'd love to see what they drive and how they take care of them. I don't follow that blog, but I'm sure it has its share of auto-enthusiast wanna-be's who have to make themselves sound smart by tearing down what they believe to be an "inferior" car. I'm sure they spend their daily commute thinking up ways to say the PTC is trash while driving their Pinto to work. The numbers of PTC's on the road is proof that this car is popular and loved by many, including three kids in this house. Terry ---------- Living Happily Ever After, Now and Then in Millbrook, AL.

Hey Dave, After I posted on the Auto Blog and then Slip Fit followed, I just checked and no one is saying anything back to us. That is great news as we stopped them saying all that junk about our cars, at least for awhile. We are on page 4 of the Auto Blog. Thanks again, Slip Fit for posting! Even on declining sales, the PT Cruiser was the NUMBER ONE selling car (not truck) in the just announced August 2007 The New Chrysler sales figures. See: http://www.media.chrysler.com/...do?id=7250&mid=2 ----------
