Phatboy antenna Can't Post

Does anyone have any experience installing a PhatBoy antenna manufactured by Tennatoys? I have ordered the stud that is required (they have sent it to me twice as a matter of fact) and I can not make it screw into where the old antenna comes out. It is as if the stud they have provided is not narrow enough or long enough. I have contacted AutoTruckToys.com where I got it and they were very nice and contacted the manufacturer who sent out the second screw/stud which still does not fit into the spot left vacant by the old antenna. Am I just that much of a hammerhead that I am doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated as I am not available to contact the manufacturer during their hours of operation.

I'm not familiar with that antenna but wonder if you screwed the stud into the bottom of the antenna first and then tried to screw it into the fender socket. If you have, that may be your problem. The stud needs to first be screwed into the fender as far as it will go and then the antenna attached. Or at least that has been how it was with the two after market antennas I have tried.

WaveI got a shorty antenna from antennax.com. They sent a selection of adapters which I needed to select the right one for the job. No hassles at all and great antenna with no reception problems. I did get an antenna booster from them too but found the PT Cruiser does not have then standard antenna connection so I had to send it back.
