Radio clock display Can't Post

Since I took delivery of my 28G on 11/2/00 the display on the radio/cassette/CD player has failed to come on 6 times. This only happens when the car is started the display will come on momentarily then goes totally blank. If the car is restarted the display will usually come back on but one time I had to try twice to get it to come on. If I take it to the dealer will he be able to help or only if it happens while he has it ???

The dealer can check the wiring whether or not the problem shows up. Intermitent problems are always difficult to find, and Murphy's Law says it will work fine when they check it.

Make sure you tell them exactly what its doing, and if they can't find anything to fix, or attempt a fix that doesn't work, bring it back again until it's fixed. If they can't get it fixed by the second trip demand a new radio. If they argue, you tell them you already made two trips and they haven't fixed it.

Re: [Dean, Los Angeles] Radio clock display Can't Post

I have a similar problem with my 02. I purchased it used last year. Three months later the radio wouldn't light up and the horn didn't work. I took the car to a local chrysler dealership. When they repositioned the steering wheel, everything worked again. They told me it was a problem in the steering column and it would cost $600 to fix. So now I reposition my wheel when it happens. If you find the cause of your problem let me know.
