Re: [bruiser] Rear Spoiler-OEM Can't Post

Hi bruiser,

I put one on after a couple of months of buying my PT.

Absolutly no regrets. I thought it looked bare without, and was missing something.

I had to get the spoiler painted and had that done at a reputable body shop.

BTW: Make sure that you protect the holes after you drill them so it won't rust.
either use a primer and paint or use any product that will not allow moister to get to the newly drilled holes.

Here are a couple of shots.

Re: [bruiser] Rear Spoiler-OEM Can't Post

I added a spoiler to both our PTs. The Inferno Red one I got as a factory painted unit on ebay for around $100 and it came with a drilling template. The Electric Blue one I got from Maggie at http://www.raceandstreet.com , she had it painted for me and was a perfect color match and it came with a plastic drilling template/insert. I have no regrets about installing either one of them. They have been on for 4 & 3 years respectively.

Re: [bruiser] Rear Spoiler-OEM Can't Post

I put one on less than a year after buying my car and loved it......... but then a year ago I put a PTeaser roll pan on the car which I love even more and, well, I think the spoiler now sort of ruins the look of the back end. It would have been so much cleaner looking without the spoiler. I don't think it's horrible with the roll pan mind you, I just don't think it's the best possible look.

But if you don't have a roll pan, I say go for it. Got mine from Maggie at raceandstreet.com

Don't be afraid to do it yourself. I did it. Just try to have someone help you hold and place. I used marine sealent for a water tight fit. You could also use silicone. Have fun!
