Jeff and Susan L. drove their separate Cranberry (hers) and Shale Green (his) PT Cruisers (each taking one kid with them) all the way to the Quaker Steak & Lube PT Cruise-IN. Are they Dedicate PT Nuts, or what?

Jeff and Susan had never seen a bunch of PT Cruisers in one location and could not find a Cruise-In locally, so they decided to “cruise” up and join us here in beautiful downtown Sharon, Pa. Because of the dire nature of their dependency on being close to PT Cruisers, we conferred honorary membership in the North Coast PT Cruisers on them, and will be mailing them a pair of NCPTC nametags in the near future (if they gave us their REAL names and addresses).

On a sometimes cloudy, sometime sunny day, thirty-one other cars also made it to Sharon, but not all were on hand at the same time. Some arrived early, and left early. While others arrived a bit later, including the last two (from PA) who arrived during a torrential rainstorm. Yes…. it RAINED AGAIN (darn it !!) and I knew I shouldn’t have washed the car this morning, but it did not dampen our spirits (moistened them a bit, perhaps).

15 Mustangs also showed up and were parked in a separate area. PT Buckeye (who owns a 66 Mustang) and knows most of the club members was surprised to see them…and wondered why they did NOT tell him they were going to be there. Hmmmmm……Mike. Maybe they ARE trying to tell you something!!!

We were parked in the rear parking area this time, and it was a real joy. Shade trees, a babbling brook, (maybe it was a stream or river), a canopy, a close-by snack bar, and most importantly, some close-by porta potties (separate facilities for men and women) , not to mention good friends, and KEWL KRUISERS, made this seem like “PT Heaven on Earth”…and IT WAS (until the rains came).

Quaker Steak kept their end of the bargain by providing dash plaques and some door prizes – gift certificates good for buckets of wings, and some T Shirts. They also gave use some T-Shirts to give away at our LABOR DAY SUPER CRUISE-IN. Thank your Quaker Steak for being great hosts and for you donations!!!

A good time was had by all (ok…maybe one person got a little bored) and Bill S. did not embarrass us again like he did last time. Bill and Cathy were unable to avoid a family anniversary party, and could not join us today. Boy…the nerve of some families !!. So the barf bags we brought with us this time were not needed. But we have them for next time….just in case. We will also bring some crossword puzzles, and some knitting needles.

This problem of “conflicting engagements” could happen to anyone, so we will solve this problem for you. Next year we will have an “events committee” meeting in March, and will plan out our next year’s activities well ahead of time. This way you can send the schedule to your friends and relatives and ask them NOT to plan any weddings, bar mitzvahs, confirmations, anniversary parties, graduation parties, etc., on these dates. We aim to please!!!

We will do this again on September 23rd. but only if you Pittsburgh and PA people can do a better job of showing up. We are getting tired of looking at our own cars and want to see what you guys and gals are Cruising around in. We know you have some sharp cars, but where are they ?
