Route 66 vs Sunset Blvd Can't Post

Hi there. We are considering the purchase of a PT, so I thought the forum would be a place to ask for more learned opinions before we take the plunge: We are looking at two different cars, one a 2006 Route 66 version (32k miles) and the other a brand-new 2008 Sunset Boulevard edition. There is only about $4,000 difference in the price, so the question is cloudier than it would be otherwise. What opinions might some of you have with this choice?

Thanks

Hi, I believe they are both part of the Street Edition and are equipped the same. The PCH is also part of this edition. 2006 thru 2008 have the same interior and body style so its just a matter of color choice. I've been seeing the 2008 Sunsets here in Calif goin for 14900.00 after rebate.

Good luck

Both cars are nice, especially because they are Street Cruisers.

It all depends on what you like. The Sunset Boulevard is much newer than the Route 66, but there are some differences. The Route 66 Edition is based on the Touring package while the Sunset Boulevard is based on the Base package. However, Chrysler just announced an Enhanced Street Cruiser series with $1770 in options included. I think the Sunset Boulevard is focused in value and chrome while the route 66 is focused on options.

Check the Enhanced Street Cruiser also: http://www.chrysler.com/...uiser/models/street/

Good luck in whichever you choose.

I'd scrap em both and go for this baby

This is one of the rare GT Dream Cruisers and it IS A TURBO with low miles, beautiful wheels...I actually inquired about trading in my convertible for this, then changed my mind as I need the drop top.

Go for it

Turbo 2.4L LITE
Automatic, cool vanilla, faux Street Edition badging, K&N drop in filter, modded airbox, mini-chrome side flames, chrome gas cap cover, customized rear mud flaps, flying siberian husky fur when top dropped.
