Scotch Guard on the Canvas Top Can't Post

Is Scotch Guard effective on the canvas convertible top? Is it any less effective than the brands that are made for convertible top water proofing? Reasons?

If you are going to use the Scotch Guard with the Ultra Violet protection, yes that is good , if not then you should use the "Ragg Top" or other similar brand top protectant as the ultra violet protection is needed more than water proofing as the top is a good 3 layer watertight top to start with.

What is "Ultra Violet Potection?" Is it a brand or an action phrase? Should I rub Coppertone spf 50 over my top?Roll eyes (just kidding) Who sells it? Is it a RaggTopp brand?

Read the can of Scotch Guard it either has it or it does not, all good protectants have UV protection, they even have the UV Scotch Guard at the food market (Giant), Ragg Top is a very good brand top cleaner and protectant that is endorsed by the top makers,

I've looked at the ScotchGard 3M website, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, and Publix (in Florida) for the UV version of ScotchGard fabric protector. I haven't seen any reference to ScotchGard having a UV protectant. Where to now? If they had it, it would probably be only $7 or $8 per can, compared to the RaggTopp-type specialized products that cost more than twice as much.
