Spark plugs after stage 1 Can't Post

I have noticed that everyone that has tha stage 1 has changed plugs and was wondering if changing tha plugs made a noticible difference or what?? And i have also noticed that alot of people have went to a ngk iridium plug a step colder would anyone happen to have tha part number on those plugs?? And i am thinking about cutting my cat off and was wondering if anyone else has done this with tha stage 1 installed and did it throw a check engine light?

The mopar cat delete pipe for the srt 4 neon bolts right up. Pricy but it uses the stock o2 sensor. Just beware the Auto stick. 300hp is the limit and even at that a stock one will not hold out very long. There is a guy back east who builds beefed up autosticks thought. I think they are about 3K.

The '05 Mopar Stage 1 instruction sheet very strongly recommends replacing the plugs and performance wires, and setting the gap to .035 for the recommended NGK LZTR5A-13 (4306) plugs (copper plug), the NGK Iridium equivalent is the LZTR5AIX-13, gapped at .028 to .032, these plugs are already one step colder than the stock n/a PTs use, now if you have enough mods for providing another 50 to 100hp increase over the Basic Stage 1 level, (or you feel you just want to go one more step colder for what ever reason), then the recommended plug suggested by DCR (Darrell Cox Racing), is the NGK Iridium LTZR6AIX-13 gapped at .028 to .032 because of the smaller electrode over the copper plug.

Performance Wires are needed even more so than the plugs because the factory plug wires are no good even for stock never mind any Performance upgrades.Smile

Re: [Dream 4] Spark plugs after stage 1 Can't Post

Hi, Everyone!

I bought a used Stage 1 for my 2005 GT and have had it reflashed by Flight Systems fwith my VIN. Does anyone have installation instructions for the 2005 Stage 1 with autostick transmission? I have located a copy of the original instructions for the 2003 Stage 1 but want a copy of the installation instructions for the 2005 Stage 1 with autostick. Thanks for your help. eddieloft

Don't expect to gain any power by removing the stock cat. You'll still have the stock o2 housing, stock downpipe and the 2 1/4" bottleneck where the Mopar exhaust midpipe ties into the stock cat. I replaced all of that and still went with a Magnaflo hi-flow cat because eliminating the cat is only worth a few hp you can't even feel and the fine for no cat will cost several thousand dollars. Cheers
