Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in mileage after installing a Stage 1 on HO Turbo PT under normal daily driving conditions, not, aggresive performance driving? ----------

Since you get some more torque with Stage 1 it will take less gas/effort to get going, BUT the trick is with so much more power can you keep your foot out of it and not drop your mpg?????????? ---------- 2005 Stone White SRT4 2004 Graphite Auto

My stage one w/ the magna-flow exhaust yielded 17mpg in mixed driving. Installing Stage I gives you the potential for higher/lower gas mileage. I have been able to get higher mpg than without the Stage I and I also have been able to get new lows in mpg with Stage I. So, as you can see Stage I gives you more choice, who doesn't want more choice? I highly recommend it. The fun factor is great and the overall drivability is much better. Plus it is a must for any other preformance related mods. ----------

I get 16.7 in my GT without stage 1... Do I even WANT to know what mine would be with the stage 1? ---------- 2003 GT Cruiser Fully Loaded Borla Dual Exhaust K&N Drop In filter Viper Remote Start/ Keyless entry

Do I even WANT to know what mine would be with the stage 1? After 33 months driving my "S1" PT-GT I continue to be pleased with its gas mileage -- 16 to 20 mpg for local driving (mostly rural roads) and 24 to 28 mpg for highway driving. On a long trip with the "right" road conditions and a "nice tail-wind" I can sometimes get 30 mpg. ----------

I think the best I have ever achieved with my bone stock DC3 5 speed is 27-28 MPG highway. I usually pull 20-22 in mixed driving but I will say this is totally dependant on how hard you hit it! So even stock it is up to the drivers right foot! ---------- Rich 04 Dream Cruiser 3 #1127 5 speed

Gary 04Gt has it spot on. I put my stage one back in and took my foot out of the floor board and i got 25.2 mpg on my last PT cruiser cruise in mixed driving mostly highway 75% at 75mph. I only changed the computer out i haven't even changed out the plugs or anything. i now get better mileage w/ teh stage ---when i keep my foot out of it--- the extra torque makes a huge difference but you have to keep your foot out of it all the time. ---------- 04 "SRT-4" PT Cruiser w/ AutoStick (in Sea Mist Green, 1 of 146) Stage 1, Mopar BOV, MagnaFlow 2 1/2 cat back exhaust, MSD black 8.5mm wires, Stock Champion Plugs gapped at .035, S&B Cold air intake, H&R sport springs, Progress 27mm front sway bar, Energy Suspension motor mount inserts, 06' tail lights, 06' Hood emblem, T-handle on rear glass, SRT-4 badges, factory chrome accent group, chrome door cups, 8" Mopar sub, ClearBra. 205/50ZR17 Sumitomo HTRIII tires

DREAM2ME I have no idea what MOD1 is? Stage1 is a PCM upgrade that changes so many factors. Torque curves Shift points for auto's so it's more fun Higher boost so you go faster It basically wakes up the PT and takes it from a very docile IMHO boring car to one that is fun to drive. And the specs from www.mopar.com for the 2003 Model years. After 03 its just a PCM swap since the injectors became standard. Manual Transmission - Increased WOT and part throttle boost
- Enhanced 1st gear boost schedule for a higher performance launch
- Optimized calibration for the MOPAR blow off valve conversion kit
- Improved turbo response
- Boost hold feature during WOT shifts
- Soft rev limiter
Automatic Transmission - Increased WOT and part throttle boost
- Optimized calibration for the MOPAR blow off valve conversion kit
- Improved turbo response
- Performance optimized transmission calibration
Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade Kit 235 hp @ 5200 rpm 260 ft-lbs @ 3600-4400 rpm Fuel Injectors -- 527cc/min* MOPAR Performance Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Gasket (for 2003 models) ---------- Phssst! Looking for a 13.9 second pass in the 1/4 this year..
