Survey from Survey Research Associates Can't Post

I just received a survey from Survey Research Associates. If I fill it out, send it back and they select me I am invited to attend an automotive survey to evaluate vehicles on display in L.A. near the USC campus. It is supposed to take two hours. I get paid $100. Has anybody heard of Survey Research Associates?

On the survey they ask the basics, what car you drive, income, job, etc. What is interesting is they ask your degree of interest in nine catagories of vehicles. They show the silhouette of each catagory with a description. The catagories are:
1. Subcompact/compact
2. Sports or sporty
3. Mid/full size
4. Luxury
5. Sport Utility
6. Minivan
7. Chrysler PT Cruiser
8. New concept
9. Convertible
I thought it interesting that the PT had its own catagory.

Hey PT Willy;
I did one of these last year up here in Northern Calif. They are really worth your time if you like vehicles. I spent 2 hours looking at concept cars and rating them. The only drawback is you don't actually get to see the vehicles. They are all on drawing boards. The best part is they give you a check right after your done!!! Getting paid to look at car drawings! If you don't really have nothing to do for an afternoon then I would go and get paid!! I hope I get another chance this year.

Hey PT Willy, I got the same survey in the mail last night - wow, $100.00 to spend 2-hours examining a PT Cruiser - I am there!! The site located near USC is a little far for me, but hey, I will feel cool, as I arrive to the survey in my PT, Huell. What day, etc. have you signed up for before I send mine in? I would love to meet up with some others and maybe we all could cruise to lunch or something nearby.

I got the same survey in the mail yesterday! Filled it out and hope to get to go, too! Maybe we'll all meet there! Would be fun, Brenda!

I have attended other surveys for market research and they are always interesting, but to get $100 for looking at drawings of cars and voicing opinions....I'm there!!

Hope to see others from the club there, too.

Done a couple of these surveys in the past, and even a "focus group" with 9-10 others.

They are for real, you really do get paid. The ones I did were for Chrysler (but pre-PT). No telling which company is actually funding the research. Could be Pontiac for the new VIBE, or Chrysler for the next PT, or who knows.

Anyway, I would do one of these without hesitation if given a chance. You will know when you are done which cars were the real reason you were there.

Have fun!

I too have done a survey. In 1995 before the new Vette was introduced. I bought a 95 Stealth R/T and abouth 6 months later I recieved a call from that survey company wanting me to view and discuss a new sports car. They would not tell me what car or cars we would be talking about. I was very sceptible. They said $100 and I said yes. I had about 2 weeks to mull over things and thought they would get 10 or so people that had new sports cars in a room and have someone out in the parking lot steal everyones new car. I took my wifes car. Police were in the building gaurding the cars. They had a 911, 3000GT, 300zx and a car with the cover on it. Turned out to be a prototype of the new Vette. COOL. We got to sit in it, open the hood and see all the neat goodies. After a hour of compareson we headed for a room to discuss our likes and disslikes. They must have liked what I said because I was envited back the next night. They had people behind the portable walls listening to everyone talk and I must have said the right things. We didn't see the cars the second night. We actually were trying to come up with TV ads for the "new car". We even signed papers saying that they could use our ideas because they were paying us. Over all a great time.

You are right, wait-n-see, I was asked to sit on another panel for cars and they turned out to be battery and solar cars. Got to take the cars out on a test track and run them through many courses. I'm looking forward to this, since most of us have had our PTs for a while, plus maybe the PT's they have there might be different.

Also, Brad don't feel bad about not having your PT. I ordered mine on 4/24 and took delivery on 8/7. But, a friend of mine ordered his only 9 days after me and he is still in BX status.

All those who signed up for the Survey, I put down Sunday, as my first option, and Saturday, being my second. Hope to see some of you there, and will keep you posted of what time they give me, etc.

Help! I accidently threw my survey form away Monday night. I didn't know what it was. That will teach me to check with you guys first. If you know of a phone number on your survey form where I could obtain another copy of this form I would really appreciate it. Really would like to meet you guys there.

Hi Cenn-1206, it was something you might throw away, especially if you are like me and get lots of solicitations. There is no telephone number listed on the letter and they indicated a reply must be received no later than January 25th. I don't know if this will help, but the address is Survey Research Associates, Inc., 590 Longbow Drive, Maumee, OH 43537-1727 Contact Person: Richard N. Billmaier, Vice President. If I hadn't already sent mine in, I would have made a copy and given you one. Maybe some others might still have theirs and can forward you one. Can anyone out there forward one to Cenn-1206?

BTCruisenGal, thanks so much for trying to help me. I called information and got the telephone number and left a message on their voice mail system so maybe they'll call me back. If anyone has a copy of the survey form that they can forward to me I would be so-so-grateful......
