Taupe Interior on Convertible.... Can't Post

CheersWondering if anyone has seen the GT Convertible with the Taupe Beige Interior? Picture in the new brouchure is just magnificant but I doubt that the color is really true. Looks more like sandstone than taupe. All the cars sent to the east coast that I have seen at three dealers both GT and touring have the dreadful dark slate grey interior. Im sure with the top raised this must be like being inside a casket it is so darn dark. The touring edition interior is partucularly dreadful as it is so somber and dank Just plain awful. If ,and this is a biggie, I ever bought the touring edition first thing Id do is take it to an upholstery shop for some llight grey seat inserts to break up all the dark tones,UGH its awful....IMHO. Next year Im sure youll be able to get any color interior you want as they are trying to move everyone up to the GT model this first year. And to top it all off (no pun intended) the taupe top is NOT available on the Dark Plum or Midnight blue exterior color. Seems a bit odd I think. Have a great day!

I have seen it. It is a beige color with a small taupe insert. Do not care for it.Flag USA

CheersThanks for the input on the interior of the new convertible. Seems like there is really little to look forward to if you didnt care for it. I certainly dont like the drab dark look of the toruing edition and was hoping against hope that the GT version might not be as palid as the touring is. Oh well, guess Ill just save the money and be done with it. Thanks for you info Have a great day!

I just bought an Inferno Red with taupe top and interior and love it! It really adds a touch of class and I bet there will be alot less taupe tops/interiors than black! I'll try to attach a photo for you.

CheersDanceWaveCheersDanceWaveMany thanks for the posts. Finally saw a taupe interior and it is really great looking. Nothing and I mean nothing like what is pictured in the new brouchure.........However, I have decided that since I do not want the turbo model, and I think 28K is pricey for a convertible Ill probably go for the Touring model and modify the interior to break up all the dark colors. And I also want to stay with the 16" wheels as my wide white wall tires are 16". Think it would look cool with wide whitewall tires and a woody package on it Have a great Day!

I love the ALL black interior of the touring, I have a convertible TE turbo, leather is not my option as they burn up nice on a hot day...I'll stick to a nice single tone cloth interior any day n a convertible..
Enjoy!

My TE has the taupe top & interior and I love it (most days)! It does show dirt more and I find myself wiping it down with the leather wipes a couple times a week.
