New owner as of May 14th of an "Electric Blue" GT 5 spd. Both the dealer and the manual say the top cover should be tucked in both in front and all around. I don't think that's the way the cover was designed. Snapping and tucking in the front portion works fine, but since the cover sides and back are all tailored, I think it looks fine just leaving it resting it on the car body. It certainly installs easier that way. Any other thoughts or experiences? We love the car. That's "Dylan" our standard poodle driving by the way. ----------

Hi there ... I have had my PT for a month now and really enjoying it ... so much for so little price, it is just incredible. Now, with the boot cover - my suggestion is, the cover is like anything else, it just takes a few times to really get used to it, i have found after putting on and taking off 1,000's of times now that following the instructions in the manual work the best and after a few times of doing that it only takes a minutes to get use to it....pushing down on the back while pulling it forwad works the top into the body of the PT and looks really good......take a look at my photo gallery, I have a few pics of the back side of the car with the boot cover on....also, I found that after the boot is on, pull on the center piece of the boot and it will go down under the body and under the top too.... This is can be a little hard to describe in email, so if you would like to chat on the phone just let me know.... Later ----------

Thanks, I've come the conclusion also that it needs to tucked in. Opened the trunk yesterday and upon closing, the rear of the cover got caught in the trunk lid (with it closed). I'll follow your advice and learn how to do it right.
My wife ("she who must be obeyed") left the key in the ignition Tuesday night and drained the battery. I'll be posting a story about this debacle in a day or so. ----------

Oh yikes...never a good time when leaving a key in the ignition...lol... The other thought I had last night was if you leave the boot cover out then I would think the faster you go the more it would catch air and not stay on...I drive on the highway with the top down and at 70 or 80 mph the boot cover would definately blow off ... but like me, after a few times of putting the boot on it gets real easy ... Good luck and looking forward to your ignition story...lol ... ----------
