Top is fraying

So my 3 months old convertible top is fraying. It is happening along what looks like a crease were the top folds when you put it down. I'm assuming this is not normal right? Especially since the other side isnt doing it. And I'm going to further assume it should be covered under warranty. ----------

I would assume that fraying is covered under warranty for sure! My top has not frayed, but around where the mechanism metal folds the material I am getting a bit of a fabric shine around that area. Not everywhere jus tin one or two places where the metal lies beneath the cloth top. Let us knw how the dealer "deals" with your top issue. I have had my vert for over 2 years now and no problems at all with the ragtop. Looks as good as the first day I bought it. I wash it a soft brush and a cleaner made just for ragtops I found at the local car part store. No complaints from me! Hope Chrysler fixes yours for you! I bought a convertible cover just for the top. I got it from Moss for less then $40.00.It helps keep the Sea Gull mess off of the top. . ---------- big jim

Bluehaze, Who is this MOSS you speak of? I have a boat in the garage and to Vert sleeps outside, need a cover but I don't want to spend $200 for the full cover. I know this is an old thread but maybe there's still some life left. Thanks for your help, Fresco ----------
