Hello, Does anyone know about a tow package for the Convertible? From either Chrysler or aftermarket? I went to the dealer this past weekend and talked to the sales guy, he knew nothing. I haven't been able to find the option on any of the websites. And from what I could see there wasn't much structural to the back bumper. Everend

Howdy eothorne. and welcome to the club. The new Convert can take a trailer hitch. Hidden Hitch will work on the new Convert. I took my old trailer hitch off my O1 cruiser and it hooked up just like on the Old Cruiser. The tie down hooks for shipping of the cruiser must come off. They are held on with 4 bolts each take these out and take the tie down hooks off. Keep the bolts as you will need 2 for each side. once you get the hitch inplace and held with 4 bolts you will need to drill two 1inch holes. use the hole in the hitch for a templet and drill into the body. access to where the bolts go (which are supplied with the hitch) you have to take off the right tail lite and look inside and see the new hole you drilled. this takes a little time to get the bolt in as you have to slide your hand in there and it is very tight. Now on the Left side (drivers side) you have to take off some interior on the left side. once you do that you can place the other bolt. The wiring is pretty easy also go to Chrysler and order the wiring for a trailer. cost is only $20.00 from chrysler. I hope this helps you out. Have a safe cruizin day below are some pictures i took today of the hitch. The first pic is of the right side where the hooks were the second is the left side and the last of the receiver area.

Thanks for the info. Right now the PT convert is a dream that I'm working towards. I'm saving my pennies, perhaps by Christmas I can afford one. It is very good to know that this years model well tow a trailer, that means I won't have to wait for the 2006 to come out. Everend ----------
