Trip computer?

Does anyone know what is involved in adding the trip computer (mainly I want the MPG Calculator). Is it just a matter of swapping guages? Do I need to do any additional wiring? This is a project for sometime in the future, but I'd love to be able to watch my MPGs under different driving conditions. Thanks, Ray ----------

I can watch my MPG on my ScanGaugeII. It plugs into the OBDII port under the dash. It can also scan for trouble codes and reset them if you want. Cost under $170. Check it out at http://www.scangauge.com/index.htm. ---------- Drive Safe & Enjoy the Ride. J. W. Gilbert, MSgt USAF (Retired) 2005 Bright Silver Touring Editon 15" Stock wheels, Lots of chrome...

I was hoping to get something in the guages. I have blank plastic where the optional trip computer could be. I just wanted to know if the wiring was there and it was just a matter of plugging it in, or am I going to have to track down different sensors and splice it in. If I go the OBD-II route, I think I'll get a USB reader and set up a carputer. I've been thinking about doing one anyway. Thanks for the idea, tho! Ray ----------
