A Photo Gallery is a collection of photos on a web page. This is where you can store pictures that you want people on the internet to see. Think of it is as a public photo album.
High speed internet connections are recommended for the photo gallery upload. You can use it with a dial up connection, but the uploads will take a long time. Cable modem, DSL, T1, etc connections are best for uploading and viewing photos.
To make a Member Photo Gallery you will need pictures in digital format, you can use a digital camera or have your film put on a CD Rom when you get it developed. Older photos can be scanned and stored as digital files.
If you already have pictures on your computer and need to put them online: Easy as One Two Three!
1. Name a gallery:
You must be logged into your member profile (ClubSite) to get started. If you are a PTCC Member and would like your username and password e-mailed to you click here
Once you log in, click on "Galleries", then type a name for Gallery number 1. Click "Name this gallery".
2. Add Photos to your gallery:
Click on "Galleries". Once you have a gallery name, you will then need to upload your pictures from your computer to your photo gallery one by one. Click on Add Photos. The pictures MUST already be on your computer to do this. Uploading pictures from your computer is done with the "Photos" link. (follow the instructions on the photo page). Changes are made to your gallery immediately. Click on "Preview" to see your gallery as it appears online.
3. Add Text to your gallery:
Click on "Galleries", then click on "Text" next to your gallery. Here you can type a title and optionally add text comments under each image you previously uploaded. Click "Submit Text Edits" when you are done adding text. You can come back and add, edit or delete text anytime. Changes are made to your gallery immediately. Click on "Preview" to see your gallery as it appears online.
4. Select a Style for your gallery:
Click on "Galleries", then click on "Style" next to your gallery. Here you can select a color theme and thumbnail image border for your gallery. Click "Submit Gallery Style" when you are done making a selection You can come back and change the style anytime. Changes are made to your gallery immediately. Click on "Preview" to see your gallery as it appears online.
5. View your gallery:
Allows you to see your gallery as it appears online. Click on "Galleries", then click on "View this Gallery" next to your gallery. The gallery will open in a new window.
