Re: [FloweryBranchCruiser] Very Sad News Can't Post

Even though I never met Doug in person I feel he was a friend. I am so sad by the news of his passing. Some people come into your life and they are more special then you may realize at the time. Sharon I will keep you and your family in my daily prayers.

God bless you Doug,

Charlie

I will so miss all his little "smilies" and cartoons he always included for everyone.
I bid his family peace during this time, one days memories and smiles will replace the pain and heartache...

Re: [IvAnOv] Very Sad News Can't Post

Although a relative newcomer to the Club, I soon came to realize that Doug's postings in essence summed up the spirit and cameraderie of the members. His ready wit often left me smiling, and we would like to offer our most heartfelt condolences not only to Sharon and Family, but also to his extended family, you,the club members who had the good fortune to know a true gentleman.

Been off occupied with my Barracuda and other things. I stop in to visit just to discover that one of the most influential people in our PT Cruiser family is gone. No it doesn't make any sense. Better that he went out of this world loved by many. My prayers too are going out...

Re: [Bo Blue PT] Very Sad News Can't Post

I'm really at a loss for words right now. I remember telling him a few months ago his PT was on Horsepower TV on Saturday and remember how excited he got. Just can't really explain the feeling in my gut.

To me, he has THE most recognizable PT in the U.S.....you just ALWAYS knew that was his.

R.I.P. my friend. You will be missed.

In your honor I will be donating funds to the American Heart Association.

As sad as we are, we also have hope. This youtube video is from a memorial service here in Montgomery. This man lost his 2 year old son last weekend. His name is Rick Burgess. Ya'll may know him as Rick from the "Rick and Bubba" show on the radio. As much as I can not imagine losing my child, it still hits home with how I feel about losing my dad. It is long, but well worth the viewing. It expresses what my dad believed and what we believe as a family. The sound was quiet on my computer, but easily listened to through earphones.

Re: [FloweryBranchCruiser] Very Sad News Can't Post

I am so very sad to hear this!

I have been away from the forum for about a month and am just now catching up with old news. I can hardly believe this news.

Unfortunately I did not have the good fortune of meeting Doug in person, but I LOVED, and will dearly miss his posts and especially his sense of humor.

May God bless his soul.
