It is with great sadness that I bring you the news of the death of Doug Burk aka AUCRUZR. Doug died at home yesterday of a "cardiac episode" and was found by his beautiful wife Sharon when she returned home from work. Further details will be out later today. Sharon said that there will be a service here in Georgia where people who knew him will be asked to share special memories. In lieu of flowers, they will be asking you to donate to a charity chosen by Doug's children who were enroute last night. Please keep Sharon and her family in your prayers. As a result, the PTCC AL/GA Meet and Greet scheduled for this Saturday has been cancelled. Rest in peace, my friend! ---------- PTCC Georgia Director Member of PTOC, PTE, NCPTC, LWOC, PT Old Timers Club 2004 PToholicsAnonymous "Most Obsessed" See our calendar of events at http://ga.ptcruiserclub.org/georgia/events.htm

I've only been with the "club" for about a year and a half but have PM'd with Doug on a number of topics. In one of our most recent conversations he mentioned that he was going to retire on Jan 3rd. I'm very sad that he didn't get to enjoy it. This saddens me so much. We first met AUCRZR in Savannah. He made us laugh a lot, was a perfect gentleman. In his visits to the chat, he was so looking forward to his upcoming retirement... Too young, too soon. My deepest condolences to Sharon and his family. ----------

That is terrible news. I never met him, but felt I knew him from his posts here. Very humorous and full of information. He also had one of the nicest cruisers I have seen. God bless him and his family.

My heart is just as sad as sad can be. I have been reading here for over a year and a half and this fine man's posts could make me laugh, make me think and could always help answer questions many of us would have about our PT's. What a great legacy he leaves and truly he will be missed! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family for their loss. ---------- Linda

My old running bud and I have shared many a laugh over the years, let alone seeing as to who could get the best of the other. I always looked forward to the times we could meet up and get eyeball to eyeball, after we skeered any bystanderts with a hearty "War Eaaagggllllleeeee!!!!!!!". Dang it son......I'll miss you!! I am confident we'll meet again at another mile marker along the way. Doug always liked my signature about old cruisers....so here's to you, my friend. Peace and my deepest sympathy to Sharon. I'm so sad to hear this news, I think my heart is broken. Doug was one of the finest people I have ever had the honor to know and cruise with. I will miss his friendship and southern humor. Although I don't post much on the forums, I do read them every day and there wasn't a day to go by that Doug didn't make me laugh either from something posted on the forums or in an email. To Doug's dear wife Sharon, family and friends, I send you my deepest condolences. Becky ----------
