I think it depends on how soon the dealer you order it from actually puts in its orders, daily, weekly or even monthly, 2.5 years ago when I ordered mine from Haynes Speed Shop and had it in 3 days I though that was really fast, although I was given a 3 to 4 week time frame when ordered. But right now you have a lot of '06 and '07 Turbo owners buying them so there may be a back log, hang in there it will be worth the wait. ---------- '05 GT Dream Cruiser Series 4. With the Stage 1 for my PT and the Stage 1 and Stage 2 for my SRT-4 I never got them in less than 4-6 weeks. You guys who get them in days instead of weeks are lucky people. ---------- 2005 Stone White SRT4 2004 Graphite Auto

I oredered my stage 1 from tha dodge dealer where i bought my cruiser from, but for you just go to your local dealer and ask if they have a mopar performance parts book and they can order it for ya out of there and it will have some other things you might also want, blow off valves, cold air intakes, exhaust, coilovers, etc. it has a section just for pt cruisers or you can order them off of www.haynesspeedshop.com and they have some pretty nice complete turbo upgrade kits i wouldnt mind having myself, but anyway if you want to start adding performance parts to your cruiser tha stage1 is a must. ---------- 2005 Limited turbo lite- mopar bov, boost controller, faze boost/vac gauge, 18" inch wheels and 225/40r/18 rikon raptors, and mopar stage 1, 2.5 inch catback exhaust.

I called the local dealer here in woodbridge, va and they quoted me $521 plus tax for the Stage 1 for my 05. I also noticed on the Mopar website, they list the 2003 and 2004 manual tranny versions for $399 with a note that the price for 2005 will be out soon. Thats a decent price, but something tells me that note is a few years old and they never posted the 05 pricing. But even for the 03 and 04 guys, I don't see any place on the mopar site to actually click on the item and purchase it at the $399 price. Haynes speed shop has it at $465 including shipping and I've found them on ebay before new for $488 plus shipping that brings it up to about $500. So is that Haynes price the best price out there? ----------

Well I live in California so my shipping was more and mY Pt is an AutoStick. The Haynes Place is the cheapest around generally. My parts guy here sold mine to me for $465 since i could get it a Hayne's i paid the extra $25 or so in tax but that at least kept my money in my county and if something ever did go wrong w/ the computer i can take it back and he can ship it back. (He showed me his cost on the computer he only makes about $120 on at full retail price) But that is me, i like the piece of mind it bought me. So in other words buy where you feel comfortable. On another note Be sure to change your Plugs and wires w/ this install. the NGK - LZTR6AIX-13 iridiums are one step cooler heat range from stock ($7.99 each) are the best and a nice set of MSD wires ($47) (Summit racing) to top it off. No need to change out the exhaust but a nice AEM Intake for $189 w/ the "dry-flow" filter will help a lot (Summit Racing). You Should pick up about 11hp & 17ft/lbs with the intake, plugs and wires plus the 5hp and 20ft/lbs from the Computer so that would bring you to 230+11+5=246hp and 240+17+20=277ft/lbs. One more thing it is a good idea to have the Mopar BOV. this little item helps save the turbo. they are Loud and some folks do not like them but after a while you just get use it and enjoy the looks from folks when it goes off. this little plate keeps hot compressed air from slamming back into the impeller and helps prevent cavatation in the turbo. I average about 18 to 20mpg in town and 24-27 on long trips (24 w/Headwinds) w/ my AutoStick and 0W30 Mobil 1 and the parts listed above. I set the cruise control at 70 to 75 for freeway and in town i drive like an old gram'ma. I only use top tier rated texaco/Cheveron,76/Phillips 66 or Shell 91 Octane (that is all we get in Cal.) Anyways you'll love the Computer no matter what else you do. Give it about 2 to three tanks of fuel to see the mileage. Mine got 14.5 on its first 200 mile tank of fuel w/ the new computer. I hope i didn't ramble too much and that this helps you out. ---------- 04 "SRT-4" PT Cruiser w/ AutoStick (in Sea Mist Green, 1 of 146) Stage 1, Mopar BOV, MagnaFlow 2 1/2 cat back exhaust, MSD black 8.5mm wires, Stock Champion Plugs gapped at .035, S&B Cold air intake, H&R sport springs, Progress 27mm front sway bar, Energy Suspension motor mount inserts, 06' tail lights, 06' Hood emblem, T-handle on rear glass, SRT-4 badges, factory chrome accent group, chrome door cups, 8" Mopar sub, ClearBra. 205/50ZR17 Sumitomo HTRIII tires

yes i put mine on w/ 24k but w/ teh 03's thought you have to repalce the feul injectors so i would repalce the entire intake manifold that you can get from haynes Perfromance. its the new 05 and up plastic intake is like $100. ---------- 04 "SRT-4" PT Cruiser w/ AutoStick (in Sea Mist Green, 1 of 146) Stage 1, Mopar BOV, MagnaFlow 2 1/2 cat back exhaust, MSD black 8.5mm wires, Stock Champion Plugs gapped at .035, S&B Cold air intake, H&R sport springs, Progress 27mm front sway bar, Energy Suspension motor mount inserts, 06' tail lights, 06' Hood emblem, T-handle on rear glass, SRT-4 badges, factory chrome accent group, chrome door cups, 8" Mopar sub, ClearBra. 205/50ZR17 Sumitomo HTRIII tires

I beleive that is it flows about 10% more air and the air temp inside is about 20* cooler since the plastic disapates heat a lot better. they have a discription of it on the haynes web site. ---------- 04 "SRT-4" PT Cruiser w/ AutoStick (in Sea Mist Green, 1 of 146) Stage 1, Mopar BOV, MagnaFlow 2 1/2 cat back exhaust, MSD black 8.5mm wires, Stock Champion Plugs gapped at .035, S&B Cold air intake, H&R sport springs, Progress 27mm front sway bar, Energy Suspension motor mount inserts, 06' tail lights, 06' Hood emblem, T-handle on rear glass, SRT-4 badges, factory chrome accent group, chrome door cups, 8" Mopar sub, ClearBra. 205/50ZR17 Sumitomo HTRIII tires

http://www.haynesspeedshop.com/Store/home.php?cat=39 Here is the link for the intake. Once i get my cold air intake i'll take the time to install this one. Its flows alot better. Did you buy your car in 04 as an 05? My PT was built in early 04 as an 04. the convertibles were built in differant plants. the 06 HP ratings are differant as well. 03 was 220hp, 04 to 05 1/2 was 230hp and 06+ was either 235 of 240hp i cant remember which. But it is the plastic that makes the differance. ---------- 04 "SRT-4" PT Cruiser w/ AutoStick (in Sea Mist Green, 1 of 146) Stage 1, Mopar BOV, MagnaFlow 2 1/2 cat back exhaust, MSD black 8.5mm wires, Stock Champion Plugs gapped at .035, S&B Cold air intake, H&R sport springs, Progress 27mm front sway bar, Energy Suspension motor mount inserts, 06' tail lights, 06' Hood emblem, T-handle on rear glass, SRT-4 badges, factory chrome accent group, chrome door cups, 8" Mopar sub, ClearBra. 205/50ZR17 Sumitomo HTRIII tires

I bought mine at the beginning of this year. So I bought it used. I don't know exactly when mine was built, Im just guessing its an early model since I have the cast intake instead of this sweet plastic one that everyone says is the best one to have. Thanks for the link, I'm going to hold out and get the stage 1 first and then see what else I want to get to add to the stage 1 after that. ----------
