What did the repair shop do to my sensors?

I was in an accident that caused some front end damage to my 2003 PT Cruiser GT. When I got it back, I noticed that my external temp sensor was reading -49 degrees. I removed the front grill and saw that one of the wires leading to the sensor had been damaged in the accident and frayed. I spliced it back together and the sensor is now working. However, I noticed that that sensor was just cable tied to a part of the frame. There is also another sensor on the right hand side that was just hanging loose. Can anyone tell me what the sensor on the right is for and where both of these should really be attached? (The front grill has been removed in the picture below) Thanks!

One is the ambient temp sensor for the outside temp gauge in your mirror, the other one is the ambient temp sensor for the PCM. I am not sure why they do not share the readings with just one sensor, but that is the way Chrysler decided to do it. On my '05 they are attached to the upright in the center of your picture, one on either side about half way down. ---------- '05 GT Dream Cruiser Series 4. No.1109 My Mods PT Trailer Project Our PTs

Are they mounted on that center support via some special means? It doesn't look like my support has a built-in place for them to attach to. Is it ok to tie the "ambient temp sensor for the PCM" horizontally to the bottom support? ----------

Does anyone know the part numbers for replacement sensors? In looking around, it looks like there is a replacement socket and a replacement sensor? My sensors are fine, but I'd really like to get these mounted back where they belong. ----------
