Why does nebraska have the highest gas prices?

 HI, Why do we have the highest gas prices in the US now? It was on the national news this AM. We have tons of Ethonal plants and more coming every day. I don't use Ethonal in my car but most do that live in Nebraska. It is a few cents cheaper a gallon than regular unleaded. Any one know? Gas was $3.399 a gallon when I got gas a couple days ago. Wow!!! $3.39 a gallon. THAT IS CHEAP!!!!
Up here in Northern NM regular gasoline is about $3.48 per gallon. I have also been wandering why gas is so expensive. I have not seen gas under $3.29 per gallon for about 2 or 3 years now.

HEY LEO, That is what ABC News said this morning. Weird. I thought that wasn't right as I know my son plays a lot for gas in San Diego.

Last Saturday in Salem NJ we filled up the 06 PT with regular gas. It cost $2.69 per gallon. We heard the prices were going up this week becaues of all the flooding in the Mid West. I guess they never heard of the Trans Continental pipe line.(Transco)

Woah! Try Cruisin your way to Toronto Ontario. On 2nd thought, if you do that you'd probably need a a refill or two in the US. Prices there are around $1.12 or so. Today in Kitchener it was around $0.93
I've never seen any prices go beyond $1.15 either... Don't know why your prices are so inflated for the US...

Hi, well, I sort of found out the answer to my own question. See what you think. Nebraska has the highest gas prices on average in the entire US. Something about- 20 cities, average per capita. The reason for inflated gas prices for us is because of the flooding in Kansas and our distributors can not get enough gas. I had to use another station as the rumor was that my station was watering down their gas so they would have enough. That is what I found out today.
LEO, the 8th Midwest Regional is in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, September 7-9. Go look at events thread. It will be so much fun- I have never been to anything like this. I will bring my PT Quarterly for you to sign. Just look for electric blue that has license Pete 41, with chrome license holder that some wonderful Cruiser person sent me today. I will be close to my car!
No, I do not have lights unless you mean a little blue light on my key chain, or a blue ring that flashes, or a flag pin that glows red. lol hope to see you there.
Whttiger, HI, maybe I should move to Canada with gas prices like that. I will consider it as I have been wanting to move back to California. Might have to think about that, Mickey

Hey Dan. are your prices per gallon or per LITER?
Also here in Jersey the prices average around $2.87 per GallonRegular and Around $3.15 Super.

The prices are per Litre, we don't use gallons here anymore lol Still seems kind of expensive to me though, although about 2 litres make 1 gallon so.. . . I guess it is not that much more expensive... Just seems better if you switch to metric I guess lmao Even the car's tanks are measured in litres.

Here in East Tennessee it's around $2.85 right now. Varies everyday some. But with my 10 cent discount at Krogers that always helps.

It closer to 4 liters make a gallon.
(from google)
1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liter
So that makes the $0.93 liter equal to about $3.50 a gallon
BTW, here in Montreal,
It's been a long time I haven't see under a dollar/liter
It at about 1.08$ now OR $4.08 a gallon.
I average about 22 miles to the gallon. (Mostly city driving)
Which is better than my old T-bird that was getting only 16 mpg.

Prices here in the Montgomery, AL area are $2.82 as of this morning. There may be some a penny or two lower, but I didn't pass by the places known for price wars. A little over a week ago, I was driving from Texas to Alabama on I-20 and saw prices in Louisiana were a little cheaper than Alabama, so they are probably around $2.77.
Oh, and that's the price per gallon. We only do liters in soft drink bottles around here, but I don't buy them. Those metric bottles make the sodas go flat quick. Can't imagine what it would do in our gas tanks. 
Although, the metric system seems to work well with liquor.

It is actually about the same price. because is'nt apporx. 3 Liters per gallon. So it works out to be about the same.

Hey, Terri you old boozer you, this is about gas prices not Jim Beam. Today, the price dropped to $3.09. maybe will get under $3.00, let's hope. I got used to that Festiva taking 10 bucks a month driving, Pete is expensive, about 5 times that much at least. But we enjoy tearing up the streets of good old Hastings.

Jim Beam?! Not likely. I'll give you a hint. I used to have a red doberman (female). Her name was Jacqueline Danielle (everyone wanted me to name her Brandy, but I don't like that stuff.)
The price is holding at $2.84 here, but the news said something about the cost/barrel going up, so I'll fill up this morning. Besides, I'm almost to that magic 1/4 tank mark.
Is there more than one blue? I never noticed.

HI SILVER AND BLUE BOYS, GAS went up from $3.09 to $3.24 today. Who knows what the problem is here, half of the Indians still ride horses. We sure make a nice three some, don't we, our three cars, of course. Midnight, did you get my half car picture with my 10 buck digital camera? Were you impressed? You both work too hard. I only work 20 hours a week so always have a lot of energy. Well must go and feed the livestock on the north forty. I will check those inflated gas prices again tomorrow.

It must cost alot to truck that fuel all the way to the North 40 LOL.

Maybe they don't like your shade of blue in Nebraska?
Working only 20 hours/week? Gee that puts you on the "I really don't like this person" list right below the "friend" who just sent me pictures from Papeete.
Unfortunately, I have to work 40 hours/week (and then some). I have this really bad habit of feeding my family and keeping the utilities on.
Gas prices here still around $2.82.
