I have a 2004 Dream Cruiser and I have had to replace the front windshield twice in a one month period. Just wondering if others have had to deal with this same problem or was I just one of the lucky ones. ----------

Umm you don't say why you had to replace the windshields? Rock bombs or cracks just appeared? Rocks are just a way of life with the PT.. The upright stance of the PT lends itself to being a target for rocks.. Early owners know this well since we have the chips in the paint over the front end to prove it.. We have learned to give more distance from traffic, trucks especially on the highway. There were some complaints in the past of cracks appearing in the bottom right hand(passenger) side of the windshield from the body settling(I think been a couple years now) but these were very few. I know it sucks but if it was rock bombs that got you, sorry but you just a stretch of bad luck.. I do know of one other owner that had a similar even happen to him.. Both times in a couple months rocks got him.. ----------

Yes it was rock bombs. And yes it was just my luck that it was hit twice in one month but at $700.00 a pop it just hurts. Anyway thanks for your input I'm starting to feel better you know how it feels when your first born is sick. Thanks Rick ----------

I guess the only way to avoid bumps and bangs would be to not drive, but that sure wouldn't be much fun. Hated to miss KC, but will be at Midwest until Saturday afternoon/evening. WOW! $700 for windshields? My insurance makes it so that when I hit a lugnut flying thru the air it only cost me $100. ---------- That's my Baby !

Did you get the correct Blue tinted windshield? I hear they are $1000 but that is most likely list price. Our windshields are different from EVERY other PT, 04 DC3s use a one off windshield! This would explain the $700 pricetag! ---------- Rich 04 Dream Cruiser 3 #1127 5 speed

The guy at the glass joint quoted me 1000 installed or 3something for a green one. A pal of mine who is a mopar parts guy could sell me just the glass for around 500. Or 150 for a green one. Then I gotta get it put in. ---------- 04 DC3#384, returned via lemon law. NOW 04 DC3#392 Both are 5 speeds.
