Re: [AJ] Worst Buying Experience EVER Can't Post

WaveHi AJ.I am a fellow New Yorker, and at least you have shown us that thier are other stealers outside the NY area that suck too. When Ginny bought her 2003 Patriot Blue Blue T.E. Woody the Stealers here wouldn't place the order unless we gave them an extra 500 dolllars to do so.I told the guy to do something biologically impossible and walked out.We traveled to Vermont and went to her home dealership Fair Haven Dodge + Chrysler, placed her order, and had it to drive home the next day.If Miss CRN ever needs to be replaced I will drive the 4 hours to VT to do so there.I stay far away from any stealer here.God Bless..............Mike.

Re: [AJ] Worst Buying Experience EVER Can't Post

My Chrysler dealer experience was daunting and I let them off the hook. I went in just shopping for a coupe, the sales guy founf a GT turbo convertible for 18k on his inventory list on his lil computer. The was Ramsey Chrysler NJ. I said what! How could that be, the sticker was so much higher on that car\\. He said I dunno here it is on my screen, look at it...I did and he was right. So he ordered it in from Virginia and said come back in 5 daYS. 12 days went by and they called me, YOUR PT IS IN! So here I go ready to get my GT PT Convetible for 18k with 8k in dealer demo miles on it. As soon as I pulled into the dealer I knew it was NOT A GT!!! It had the toruing cookie cutter wheels on it and I knew. So I told the same sales guy IT IS NOT A GT...he denied he ever told me it was! So I go into the finance guy and another customer relations guy and we look at the original invoice. On it it read 2005 GT convertible, both guys peer at the sales guy...he goes Uh I dunno and runs away! My wife yells to him so what are you gonna do for us then??? He comes halway back and says ...I cannot do nuthin! So now here I am wanting this PT anyway as it was gorgeous, but po'd cause I don't have a GT with all the fixings but a touring turbo instead.
To this day I knew we should have kept up a stink and we would have gotten something...but that was that. :-(

Re: [AJ] Worst Buying Experience EVER Can't Post

So sorry to hear about your poor experience. Where I am (Staffordshire, UK), the Chrysler dealer is the only dealer I've been to locally who could be bothered to take any time to deal with me. All the others have been more or less completely offhand, even when I was looking at spending £20k+ with them. The Chrysler dealership has a good reputation locally - I'll find out when I've had my PT for a while, whether the whole experience (service etc) lives up to this. Hope so.

Re: [a_hnau] Worst Buying Experience EVER Can't Post

CoolHi and welcome from Mike and Ginny Casabianca of Yonkers New York USA.Maybe the Stealers on the other side of the pond are an exception to the rule but the place where they try to rape you in is the service department. The benefit of this club that saved me the most money as a member has been access to the TSB's.My mechanic does all the work on my cars for the past 27 years,so the only time I go to the Stealers is when it is something he can't do.My keyfobs weren't working correctly despite using the reprograming sequence and changing the batteries.I printed out the TSB for this problem and went to the stealer. When I told one of the techs he proclaimed I need 2 new transmitters.I smiled, showed him the TSB copy, and said you have a choice either you reprogram the transmitters or I am going to start screaming in front of all these people how you just tried to defraud me of 250 dollars and we will see how quick I can clear out these customers. He took both the keyfobs and 5 minutes latter he said they are fixed and no charge.Just before he left he noticed My PT Cruiser Club sticker and said "Oh you are one of THOSE GUYS."Anytime I stop in that Stealership now it is Hi Mike what can we do for you and they know better than to yank my chain. All the Best and God Bless.......Mike
