 Well It seems I leave Oregon on the Second week of March headed to Laughlin Nv to start my 2008 Season and just so happens as I am posting this I need to say YES I HAVE MADE HOTEL RESERVATIONS for this Event And YES I will have my car this year

Oh, that's great news! I am so excited y'all can come back!
Gary and Kathy, this is even better news: The host hotel has a real Milo's restaurant in the same area. So now, in addition to the iced tea, you can try a gen-you-wine Milo Burger! (Hope you like onions.)
Mikie, I don't think I've ever seen your Cruiser in real life! I'm so glad you'll be here. 
For those wanting to stay Sunday, I recommend a field trip to the nearby Birmingham Botanical Gardens (zoo is across the street too), which should be lovely in April. I can take a group over there Sunday, and we could have lunch at Chez Lulu. Or golf at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, also nearby.

Hi Rhonda,  We booked for 4th,5th & 6th just to be on the safe side. Love onions on the burgers. Didn't have the heart to throw out the Milo jug when it was empty - still got it. Only problem I've got now is cops got me doing 28 over in a school zone - didn't see the sign drop from 50 to 25 - no flashing light - no kids or buses around and the school is tucked back in the woods. Hmmm, maybe community service. Gonna make a court date to see if I can get it reduced. Glad you'll be there Mike, thanks for the memories.

AU, I don't think I could hire enough Southerners to bring their hospitality to save my butt on this one - it's double the points and fines in a school zone. I just hope they don't have me locked up on Apr. 4th.

Gary, 28 over in a School Zone out here is Jail!!!! Our School Zones are 24 HRS!!This is so assinnine Some schools have Flashing Lights when it is 20 MPH,Then there are ones that are posted and say such as 7AM -5 PM!! And when the ones with Flashing Light are not on it is 25 MPH and the ones with signs it is 25 MPH out of those times.The Safest bet is do 20 MPH at ALL TIMES because John Law has his own version!!! I have yet to see a kid on the playground after 9PM unless they are up to NO GOOD!!

Hi Mike, My son even mentioned that he was surprised that the cop didn't haul me off. The school is behind a stand of woods, no flashing light, there were no kids or school buses out and no traffic. The speed drops right at the edge of the woods from 50 to 25 and I didn't see it. The speed there changes a couple of hours in the morning and again in the afternoon. You have to pay attention to your watch. It's a 2 lane blacktop road in the country. No neighborhoods around, traffic lights or cross roads. It's a perfect spot to get caught if you're daydreaming. We'll see what happens 1-3-08. Here comes da' judge.
