Speaking about sounds...I drove my convertible on the highway for the first time (seems my wife has driven my new car more than me>>???) anyway, I had a loud whistle coming from the turn disengage top handle at around 80-90mph.....ummm I only went that fast for a few mins! Also noted that with the tow main windows down you get an annoiyng screech, until you lower the rear windows as well.

Check the weather-striping near the area...be sure the lil black nail buttons are all tight and attached...I found 3 of them a bit loose on my O5-er

A possible cause Can't Post

I also have a noise coming from the passenger side center to rear wall. However I believe I have isolated it. When I put just the back window down - the rattle disappearsSmile. When I put it up - it reoccurs.Frown The seal seems fine when I look at from the outside - it is fairly tight. So, I am wondering if the track behind the plastic molding is slipping or loose I am going to look at this more over the weekend and hopefully not have to take to much apart. It is a very annoying rattle/creak, especially if you have the radio off. I will let you know what I find. If you have found a solution, I would love to hear from you as well. Thanks!

Hey jouster,

I have that rattle too! It comes and goes and drives me crazy! You know it won't do anything while it's at the dealership.... that's too easy! I wish I knew what it was so I could make it go away!

Finally, someone else!! I thought i was the only one. well, i had the dealer replace the seat belt assembly. didn't help. now i'm convinced it's up in the top. one of my ex-students is a mechanic at the chrysler place. i may just take him out to dinner some night so the analysis will only cost me $15 rather than $75. if we determine something, i'll let you know.

thanks for the response.

I think you're right Jouster with it being in the top. When the top is down the rattle is gone. I initially thought it might be something in the glove box but I emptied it out and the rattle was still there. Good luck on finding the solution!

Re: [silvereagle] a little rattle Can't Post

I just posted a new thread on this subject without viewing this thread. I feel better knowing others have encountered this issue. If someone else can verify that the noise goes away with just the rear passenger window down, I will take a look inside the rear panel and see if it is the power window mechanism or loose window track creating the annoyance. Let me know, because I can't take it anymoreMadMadMadMad
