My wife has a 2005 turbo (none GT) last service was in march for the 30,000 mile. In may the turbo went out at 32,500 and was coverd by the warranty. last week it went out again at 34,200. The service manager says that we need to show all records of oil changes because they think the turbo oil feed tube is the cause and that it got clogged with sludge from the oil pan, and we are to blame for not changing the oil often enough. Long story short I cant produce the records from last year. I contend that with the service in march and the replacement of the first turbo someone from this 5 STAR service department should have seen that there was (if any) a problem. Any input would be appreciated. ---------- ----------

When they diagnosed your first bad turbo they probably didn't look past the fact of how the first turbo went bad. With the second one going bad so soon they feel it's the owner's fault. Having service done at 30k will mean nothing to them. If it is the culprit oil sludge builds up over time and they want to know what went on before the 30k service. If you did your own oil/filter changes you are supposed to keep receipts to prove you did them. If you bought the car used then hopefully the previous owner kept records. I keep records for everything just in case and give them to the next person buying the car just so I can prove proper maintanance was done. ---------- 2005 Stone White SRT4 2004 Graphite Auto
