does my pt have ABS?

hey everyone! sorry for all the questions. I really want to buy and was about to buy the stage 1 today for my '07 pt limited turbo lite, when 1 option for the kit asked if my car had abs! I honestly dont know, how can i tell? i have the fuses for abs controls and valve, but my window sticker doesnt say its equipped with it. is there a sure way to tell, i can see an abs module anywhere either. please help!!!!!!

On the older models, I believe ABS came in the same package as rear disk brakes and traction control. So if you have rear disk brakes and traction control you have ABS.
I'm not sure if they ever offered ABS with rear drum brakes. I just went to Edmunds.com and looked up the standard features across the different '07 models and the only one that listed ABS as a standard feature was the GT, which BTW was the only model that listed rear disk brakes as standard equipment. So the rear disk brake "rule of thumb" still seems to apply.
Of course you can always find out for sure the old fationed way.  Take the car on a wet, dirt, or gravel road. Get up to about 30-40 mph and hit the brakes hard and see if they lock up.

Turn the ignition to on, but do not start, look at the instrument cluster and look to see if you have a "ABS" warning light, I believe it is a yellow light, and yes I have seen PTs with ABS and rear drum brakes.

thanks for the reply! i thought to check that and i dont see an abs light come on. i thought that maybe my car just doesnt have a light. can you explain why i have the fuses for abs? is it just made that way for if the option was purchased? i want to purchase the stage 1 and dont want to get the wrong one.

Your dealer can run the VIN for your car and tell you every option on it.

I'm at that awkward age. I ask for the senior discount at restaurants, but my PT still has Stage 1 and dual 10" subwoofers.
