just curious for those of you who have stage 1 already, im still waiting for mine to arrive. the question is: is it necessary to replace the exhaust with a cat-back? what are the advantages? i have an 07 turbo lite and just want to know so i can budget my upgrades. i was looking at the magnaflow or the heartthrob. does anyone use either or have suggestions and why is the heartthrob soo cheap? oh! and where do you get that pipe from the turbo to the airbox to get rid of the silencers?

I put on the Mopar Borla dual kit and it did help in the performance of the cruiser. Also, the sound is great, but the $$$ is a little high. All in all, I would do it again if I had it all over to do. ---------- Jack Smith (Smittys PT) Webmaster Colorado Cruiser Club

If you are remaining at Stage 1 power numbers then there is no need to get a bigger exhaust. If you are going beyond S1 numbers then you would want to get a larger diameter exhaust, preferably a 3" o2 housing, 3" downpipe with or without a cat and a 2 1/2" catback exhaust. This would allow your turbo to spool up faster and get to your power quicker. While you could get a larger catback exhaust with just S1 you will not feel as much difference as you would with higher hp/tq. ---------- 2005 Stone White SRT4 2004 Graphite Auto
