BIG JIM, BROTHER EAGLE,TAKE IT FROM WHITE WOLF, IT MAKES SOME DIFFERANCE,BUT LIKE MY DREAM COMES WITH 17'S SO 1 INCH WITH THE SIZE 215-45-17. THAT FROM FACTORY SPEC'S IS 1 TIRE SIZE OR ABOUT [1 INCH TALLER TIRES] AND A BIT WIDER THAN FACTORY[WIDER PAD -MORE RUBBER ON THE ROAD] I THINK YOU GO FASTER THAN THE SPEEDOMETER SEZ,SO BY KNOWING THIS . I ALWAYS CRUISE UP AND ASK A BROTHER SCOOTER RIDER MY SPEED FOR 1 MILE THEN I KNOW FOR SURE... MAYBE THIS WILL HELP YOU

go to this site,http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html,and type in your oem stock tire size then your tire size on the car now.it will show all thenumbers(diameter, etc) and give you the percentage your speedo is off.i went from 15 to 17 inch wheels and put 225/45 tires on and so kept same diameter and speedo reads correctly. hope this helps on your figuring. ron ---------- When people see a cat's litter box, they always ask, 'Oh, have you got a cat?' hi big jim, if you figured the difference with tire sizes and know you are x% off with speedo and so odometer also, could that be the numbers you need? so if your speedo is off by 2.1 mph(60=62.1),i would think you can get what you want.this example is a 3.5 % difference. 1 hour driving at 60 mph you actually went 62.1 and not 60 miles. on the miata tire calculator site you can get all the info and figure it. i am not that great at math but this seems right.or at least to me it sounds right. if this works, cool, and if not let us all know how you do figure it out so we all can know. hope this helps ron ---------- When people see a cat's litter box, they always ask, 'Oh, have you got a cat?' I if knew that answer in the first place I wouldn't have asked.I would guess that if I picked up 1.5 ,then maybe my mileage would increase the same by 1.5 Any Ideas? ---------- big jim

Quote: Hey - new Cruiser owner here - I like it so far. got for a commuter car its much nicer and more practical then a regular commuter! has anyone seen this? I'm going to try it. http://www.pureenergysystems.com/.../17/6900069_Acetone/ I thought I would give this a try as well. Please let us know your results. Following is what I have to say about it. A while back I replaced the exhaust system. Since then I have had issues with the check engine light being on. One translation of the code says "A scheduled fuel adjustment was not performed." (or something slong those lines). A mechanic (or two) told me it most likely is carbon stuck in the EGR valve or something like that. Within about 20 miles of adding acetone to the gas the engine light went out. Likewise, if I fill up and don't add the acetone the light will come back on. I may only get an improvement in mileage of a couple mpg's but it seems to keep the light off. So the theory is that the acetone does help gas burn better and must "trick" the system into thinking its getting more fuel (as I now believe my Dreamer is running lean and really wants more fuel). For now, I'm willing to live with this and keep my foot out of it. Right now I really want to work on my Barracuda... ---------- DC1 #1610--5-speed. Its got some stuff.
