maximum wheel & tire size Can't Post

hi there shane...this might have been asked before but i missed the answer so here it goes...1. What is the maximum (meaning, largest) wheel size a PTC can fit?
2. In line with question #1, what would be the ideal maximum rubber width & height for that wheel size?
3. with this setup, can the PTC still be dropped? if so, what would you recommend drop height?
thanks...

Shane I'm not, but I have 2 sets of wheels for my PTC:

18 x 7 billets with 245/35ZR18
18 x 7.5 with 225/40ZR18

In addition, Eibach made me a set of springs which dropped the front 1.5" and the rear 2.0"

No problems with interference.

If I could figure out how to post 'em, I would. e-mail me direct and I'll forward you a picture of them.

Or, wait until June2 and I'll have pix of the car w/ springs and tires installed on , in the 2000 Power Tour section.

Whatever you do, be aware that there is very little clearance in front. You can't go much above 25" total tire diameter. Fortunately, Shane @ Tire Rack can help you; they test fit every wheel/tire combination.

Having said that, if you're interested in going with a 17" wheel, 235/45/17 is the max that will fit -- and it TOTALLY FILLS the wheel wells!

18" is the largest that we have tested to fit on the Cruiser. Here is a breakdown of sizes:

18" staggered combo:
225/40-18 front, 245/(35or40)-18 on rear.
same size all the way around:
235/40-18 or 225/40-18

17" staggered combo:
225/45-17or205/50-17 FR., 245/(40or45)-17 RE.
Same size all the way around:
235/45-17 or 225/45-17

Let me know if you need any clarifications. On the rear sizes where I list two different profile possibilities, the first profile (lower profile) would be the same overall diameter as the front size. The second profile(higher profile) would be a little taller than the front size listed, giving you a wider and taller look on the rear. All of these sizes listed are acceptable even with ABS as it falls within the 3% differential needed so that ABS is still functional.
