I'm in need of some suggestions. I bought 4 red Xenon strobes and want to install them in the wheelwells. instead of the typical wheelwell lights. Does any one have a ideas on the best location in the wheelwell to mount these so they don't get damaged? I know I could mount them just about anywhere but want them to last for as long as I can. ---------- Were are we going and why am I in this handbasket?

I'm not sure about mounting location, but head to your hardware store and look at the clear acrylic sheeting (by the plexiglass). I'm sure there are other materials others might suggest that are as good or better. I've used the stuff in many applications requiring durability and transparency, and it does extremely well. In any case, if you could determine how to mount a sheet or container of it over the strobes they would at least take the first couple hits from rock or debris. My two cents... (Hey we should take up a collection of 2 cents and give it to a charity!) ----------

On my 06 there is a small removable panel at the front of the inner wheel well that provides acceess to the back of the lights. This is easy to get out and could easily be modified with some sort of a protective lens to put your lights behind. ----------
