window question (problem) Can't Post

My 2006 conv windows went all the way down when I put the top down. Now they only go down about 2 inches then I have to manually (push the button) to bring them down all the way. I just had a viper alarm installed, but dont know what that would have to do with the windows. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks,
Joe

The button to lower the top is a two position switch. Pushing it in lightly (to the first position) the windows and the top do what you say yours are doing. Pushing the button firmly to the second position, all the windows go down fully as well as the top. Are you pushing the button all the way in? If you are pushing the button in all the way and the windows are still not going down, I'd say your switch or a relay is bad.

I just reread your post, it's possible when they installed the alarm they might have knocked a wire off screwing around under the dash. If it's not a pushing in the button all the way issue, I'd take it back to the installer and have them look at it or look under the dash yourself for a wire that fell off or is loose on the switch.
